I finally did a resin painting with my split cup! I first painted the canvas with flat blue paint and primer, then I used clear resin in one side of the cup and color in the other side. Poured it as a traveling tree ring and voila!

To clean the split cup if you need to reuse right away, pour in alcohol and swish around, repeat, if needed repeat again then immediately wash out with hot soapy water. Works for me. Love your art!

You can clean out things with a tissue not a paper towel but a tissue seems to really gather up the resin when it's wet. Also if you zoom a little heat over it you can scrape it really well and then wipe it with the tissues. It may not get it all but it'll get a lot of it and then you could use some type of tool like a screwdriver or whatever to chip away at the rest it's a lot of work I like disposable cups and I put them in the recycle bin because it's a form of hard plastic and they can recycle it most likely. One of the hardest parts for me with this type of art is the non recyclable waste. :/ but I am enjoying it very much myself and try to find ways to recycle and reuse and use things that will burn. 💜💚💜💚
Beautiful technique and I'm excited to watch the rest of your video I stopped this at 5:26 to share. 🪷🎶🪄

I L❤VE this painting! I enjoy the different effects you get when using the resin instead of the acrylic. I appreciate both very much however I find it easier to create the 3D with the resin, easier. This is stunning!

Oh I just LOVE this!!! Absolutely beautiful choice of color contrast. I've been wanting to do one with the clear epoxy with ribbons of white, gray and slate then blow the ribbons into scarf like smoke swirls. Thank you for sharing. I will look up the water tip on the back if the canvas to tighten it. Thanks again. Best wishes.
