Jesus said to be saved and go to heaven you must.
1. Be baptized by water and the Holy Spirit.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:16
2.Take the Eucharist.
Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:54
3.Confess that Jesus is Lord.
Roman's 10:9
4. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:21

So christianity forces you to judge others and decide their eternal fate?

Studying other religions currently and I am looking at how Christianity is advertised. For me every religion has sects and those that disagreed with the old text, or the way they treated people. Jesus was born into his faith learned Judaism and wanted to help his people out of it. There are similar stories with different actors/props, but the stories follow one thing God Reincarnate. So Lets take everything out. If religions believe god can re-incarnate as a human to understand the human plight, then like most humans we glorify spiritual teachers and continue on. Christianity in it self is the same up start as Buddhism mind you the stories are different and the deaths are different, but the path to save others from their suffering is there. One thing we have to acknowledge is the Jesus christ died for our sins ( suffering ) So we don't have to worry about the old testament and do our best to follow Christs example. One thing I find Christians forgetting is the main warning to not idolize objects. The word of god is in the bible, but the Bible is not a replacement for God. Jesus can be said to be god, but he was of flesh to be like us. Though if you were to say the teaching at the end here is not similar to other religions or philosophies is to say that you blindly took up Christianity with out intensively studying it. One should also hold their tongue against other religions as our jobs was not to judge others and accept all into the faith. We can listen, we can wait, and we can answer questions for those who seek it. God will bring people to the faith when they are ready, if a religion is the truth one must not need to defend it and let the teachings speak for them self. We can only guide people in a direction not force them to believe. If we do not have answers for their questions, then one has failed to understand their own teachings. This is a way for us to grow spiritually by challenging those who teach us and what we teach our self. Christians debate amongst them self's with each different type of christian. I do not believe Jesus taught us to be "christian". This title blinds all in the understanding that those who believe in Jesus Christ as our savior should not need a title as it causes discourse. Just like Hinduism started and many sects came out of it you can not focus on one to be critical of. I could say all Christians believe in the Methodist teachings, or the Catholic. That is not fair. I feel Christianity needs to continue their look into the bible. Though the odd part is the more I read back up after 9 years of leaving, that the beliefs have changed in a way that matches other beliefs. This can mean two things, the religion is evolving or the devil is influencing the religion. The more I see the changes the more I know that religion changes over time to suit the era. God exists as that in essence is the truth and evidence in the bible., along with other religions and historical documents. No one dare mention anything outside the bible and when you start getting to the point of talking about outside sources you get looked at wrongly, but when you sync it up with it proving Jesus existed it is now acceptable. Though no one wants to believe Jesus could of met with other religions. We don't know and Jesus came to understand the humans by being one he must of met a ton of people on his journey.

When Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life; Jesus was stating the truth. God, or the force of Love that animates all of life; is the way, the truth, and the life.

Jesus was not speaking personally about himself. What Jesus meant is that Love is the way to live, Love is the truth, and Love is the way to eternal life; not in the sense of heaven, but as a way to know yourself as the eternal being that you are.

When you know yourself as Love, you know yourself as God. God, the I am that is within Jesus, is the same God that is within everyone.

The spirit that is within Jesus is also within everyone. God is the same in everyone, and God's name is Love.
