US Futures (YM=F, ES=F, NQ=F) are climbing higher Tuesday morning, as investors anticipate key inflation data in the form of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) to give more clarity into how the Federal Reserve may make its next policy decision. The debate about how and when the Federal Reserve will cut rates continues as mixed messaging from Fed leadership casts doubts on forecasts.

Yahoo Finance Reporters Alexandra Canal and Josh Schafer join The Morning Brief to break down the potential market reactions to upcoming inflation data and take a deep dive into ongoing market trends.

Inflation is up because fuel prices are up. Basic sense.

Fed says it’s transitory, fails us. Fed says it’s just one, no two, no three CPI reports with inflation up. Fails us! We are poorer under this dove Fed and this government! Please someone make the difficult choices to stop inflation!

Yes, no such thing as inflation. 12 pack of coke is $10. Bag of chips is $7. 24 pack of beer is $36. Gas is $5.

I don't know any educational reference for anyone to believe me that the world has gone crazy and inflation is at an all time high, but we keep breaking new record highs and SPY keeps going up. LOL

Why doesn't the fed just stop spending so much money and then they wouldn't have to raise rates?

Tell the poor to stop complaining about inflation. Cook those numbers just right so those of us with assets can continue to seperate from the plebs. SPY 530+ tomorrow. Greatest economy ever 🚀

CPI y/y 3.2% to 3.5%, kinder rules out rate cuts now and the oil prices remaining high will not help let's see what happens in the middle east and Russia. If things escalate and prices are pushed higher into double digits . Well Good luck out there
