The joys of farming. I watched Mike Mitchell unblocking his combine and I can't help think that a device to measure the power requirements of the chopper should be part of the telemetry. The biggest issue is not the chopper stalling out but the fact the rest of the material on the walkers and screens just keeps packing in. If it's hydraulically driven then there should be a pressure difference between each side of hydraulic motor. Surely that could be monitored and alarmed if it goes beyond a certain parameter. If it's a belt driven affair then an idler pulley sitting on belts that would move as more power needed and then alarm. Maybe even a simple tachometer on the chopper drum would help.

I remember combining 5 bpa beans many years ago after a hailstorm. It was not fun for sure. We weren't dealing with green wheat though.

Hahaha!! Wonderful sense of humour around the Brown farm. Regardless of the actual conditions, farmers wake up in the morning moaning about the weather. P.S. Does 9 bushels an acre cover the cost of the government juice?

Reminds of when a uncle sowed sweet clover in my wheat. That old 303 cut it. Very slowly. Laugh about it now but at the time I was brighter than a LED brake light. They weren't invented yet when that happened

This year, the double crop beans matched or even out yielded the early beans here. We were drier than a popcorn fart, but got the double crop beans in just ahead of some rain, and they took off like a SpaceX rocket!

What if you drop the really grean feilds on windows and rent or barrow a Tedder to spread it back out. Or run the wing mower on it. That way you don't plug the shredder up

In my youth, I always hated unplugging equipment. That combine being plugged up looked nasty! Reminds me of plugging up the small baler on a hot summer day
