This man is 85. What a sharp mind and authoritative speaker.

Love the attentiveness of his granddaughter.

There's a reason why "How often do you think of Rome?" is a meme. We all feel America is in decline.

As a history buff who deeply studied both Ancient Rome and America, I have said over and over again that Rome foreshadowed America! America was born like Rome, America will die like Rome! It’s our fate, our destiny!

Francis Ford Coppola is getting better with the years. He knows how to keep his audience focus at his comments. Just looking at Adam Driver and the young lady behind paying close attention to their mentor words.I cannot wait to watch "Megalopolis"

Benjamin Franklin's response to Elizabeth Willing Powel's question: "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"

“A republic, if you can keep it.”

This is why true artists are important -- they're not just storytellers they're truth tellers.

Culture and society will always change, but never human behavior. It is the easiest to be manipulated and twisted by bad leaders, who hide their weak morals using the emotions of the desperate masses, and narrow their focus like the blinders of a workhorse. It is why we never learn from our past mistakes, thus many historical downfalls continue in a vicious and unforgiving cycle.

A movie based on the idea of Rome, with character names Cicero, Julia, Ceasar, Crassus, Vesta (Vesta Virgins of Rome), Publius Clodius Pulcher, etc. Have super power. Based on the connection between Rome and Modern American. Break 4th wall. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The only movie i can't stop myself from being hyped and little bit unbiased

I love Coppola's distinctive voice. ALL the great directors and writers have it -- Rod Serling, Friedkin, Hitchcock, Bergman, Welles, Verhoeven, Nichols. Just to hear them talk and express themselves is so rewarding.

It strikes me as odd that we have no women who have risen to this level as directors and writers. One is inevitably tempted to ask is there something about the Y chromosome or our culture that does this?

Francis and I are about the same age. And after all these decades of living in the US, we have come to the same conclusion about where our government is headed. Voting in November is our chance to save our republic.
