Thanks for this video! I am 52 and am currently working on changing my career from IT to developer. You are right that it is all about mindset. When I was 48, I attended a bootcamp in SF. I crashed and burned, partly because I was not mentally in a good place and partly because their program sucked. I am now in a good place and have resumed my studies online. I am working every day to improve my mindset (and my programming skills). The one mindset I have to still wrestle with is that of employers and other devs under 40 that think my age is a detriment. It just means that I have to up my game and if they still don't see my worth, then f' it. I'd rather connect with devs and work in environments that see the benefit of diversity over a narrow spectrum group-think mentality.

Went to College at 28 to learn code. 32 now, it's been hard, just diagnosed with adult ADHD. Going into the job market I I'm going to use the connections I made in college, starting my portfolio and seeing how it goes. Never got a job without connections and don't feel like this industry will be the same either way. Already worked on some Robotics AI and Autonomous Cars as an intern.
