Middle East crisis: How might Iran strike back at Israel, and can a wider conflict be avoided?

Israel has attacked Iran's allies and assets throughout the war in the Middle East, in Lebanon and Syria, but so far Tehran has stopped short of retaliating.

However, a suspected Israeli attack on what Iran regards as sovereign diplomatic territory - its embassy in Damascus - on 1 April is different, and the nation's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, has stated that Israel must be punished.

Sky's international affairs editor Dominic Waghorn discusses how Iran might strike back at Israel, and if it can avoid plunging the wider region into all-out war.
