Mumias Sugar CEO Nashon Aseka has been suspended

Показать описание
Aseka was suspended after a board meeting on Tuesday to pave way for investigation on the suspect transaction. In his place, the board has appointed the current head of agriculture Patrick Chebosi to act until further notice. The board further accused Aseka of entering into deals without requisite approvals. Aseka was appointed last year in August from the Agriculture and Food Authority’s Sugar Directorate.
The board has also indicated that it is in discussion with key stakeholders of the firm to inject fresh capital to restore Mumias operations.
