It's my turn to share my story about Secret of Mana; this is my favorite game of all time. I remember traveling across France to my grandparents' house in Bretagne (west of France, near the Atlantic Ocean), where I would meet my cousins from the north of the country. It was our summer tradition for ten years, enjoying the sea and... the unpredictable weather! Unfortunately, Bretagne is known for its rain, so we HAD to play, and our SNES was perfect for that. We were fortunate to have a Multitap device, allowing us to play with three players. What an adventure... The music goes straight to my heart; grinding and grinding to reach the end of the game, and shedding tears because it was so beautiful. It was 20 years ago, and my cousin and I still play the game on every platform we can, either together or solo, and continue to share our journeys. Thank you, Square Enix, for this game.

this is the soundtrack to my childhood. I learned to read with my mom playing this game. this is the best OST of any game to date

I still remember the Christmas morning I got this game.

I wasn't allowed to play until it got dark out. The moment my mom said it was alright, I ran to my brothers room and slipped underneath his heating blanket and turned this on. Awestruck at the opening sounds of whale song, I sat and re-listened to the opening music for a good 15 minutes before finally pressing start.

And my gaming journey began, bringing both joy and melancholy. I do not know who Ronnie Turner is, but I am absolutely certain they are enjoying this OST where ever they are now.

There’s just something about this soundtrack that teleports me back to being a kid in the suburbs. Playing games, riding my bike, going to friends’ houses. Miss those days

This game has such a unique sound to it. Amazing that the old SNES can produce this sound but even more amazing is of course the composer who spent many very long days pushing the limited technology to it's limits to produce such a rich soundtrack. This is probably my most played SNES game from my youth and of course I loved them music back then but didn't quite appreciate the amount of effort and talent it took to make it.

My grandfather recently passed. This was the game he introduced me to. We played this together for 100s of hours. I love this game. I miss him.

Happy 30th birthday to Secret of Mana! Every time I hear the soundtrack, it takes me back to my childhood. This game has a special place in my heart. I moved to Oregon in 1993 and the music of this game always reminds me of the times when I would explore the woods back then. Every track is fantastic and can evoke different emotions.
