The Lost Animal Crossing Locations that never came back

Does anyone else remember these older animal crossing locations from the gamecube, wild world, city folk, new leaf, and pocket camp games? New horizons has a lot but not all these animal crossing locations.

The police station wasn't just for lost&found! Copper would tell you days in advance when one of the special visitors would be in town, *and* he'd tell you where to find them when they arrived. One of the best features of the game IMO, along with the calendar.

Club LOL is probably the place that I miss the most but overall the streamlining of ACNH removed a bit of the classic feeling that the older titles had. Locations like Resetti‘s HQ literally served no purpose but they added so much in the sense of making the world seem alive. I love that we got Harv‘s Plaza now but I can’t replace the City or Main Street when it comes to that cozy feeling.

The main reason for donating to Boondox was meant to be a bell sink, and the rewards for donating at certain amounts are different colored feathers that you could wear.

I miss tortimer island so so so much. I miss talking to randoms, and all the fun minigames. Imo tortimer island is what makes new leaf the best

I wish New Horizons had more buildings, the islands are so big there is more than enough space to add some buildings. Even if they're not all very useful, buildings bring some life and fun into your town, and you have more things to do. They did add buildings on the Happy Home Paradise island, but you need the DLC and I wish you could have those buildings on your main island.
I also wish there were more secrets to discover, nowadays they tell us everything about the game in the Nintendo Directs, but when I played new leaf my mind was always blown away when discovering all the secrets such as going in the Resetti center.

The town plaza with the tree where you can sit down and have a trip of nostalgia... kicks and so on were so detailed and cute and store upgrades were the BEST! It motivated you to do more.. I want new leaf on the switch ..

I think it would be cool if in a future game we could choose what buildings we have in our towns or islands, sort of like public works projects in previous games. That way you could choose whether you wanted a more city-like or natural area.

I loved the dream suite back in New Leaf, I don't like that you have to pay for it now if you want to use it. That's not fair to the players

Love how the series builds up a lot of these locations and then it's always, 'It was then removed in New Horizons'. Shows how lacking that games was in quite a few areas.

My first Animal Crossing game was New Leaf so I miss the plaza, some of the public works projects, and Retail. I wish there was an option in New Horizons to have buildings or at least little campers placed to be built on the island like the stores. The only difference could be that if you want to, you can also destroy them. Plus, I wish the buildings on the island could be customized kinda like in New Leaf so players don’t have to hide them if they can’t figure out a way for them to match their island.

Playing AC for a good portion of my life always makes me sad when I think about all the features and characters we befriended who never came back. Was hoping Horizon was going to be the ultimate experience where everyone and everything was implemented in some form

i really miss having the mainstreet, it brought so many of the npcs together with their own personalized shops. we kinda have that with harvs island but it takes so much time to get there now

I wish the gba island returns in some way like... It would be awsome to connect your 3DS with the Switch and visit your old New Leaf town.

They took out so much personality in Acnh. Visiting places you couldn't usually visit like Mr. Resettis Hq was such a special and mysterious feeling back in the day that made you wonder what else could be explored, but these locations were just taken out sadly.

The music for the gateway is literally just the British national anthem. “send him victorious, happy and glorious, long to reign over us, god save the king.”

Odd choice.

Honestly I love the police station, made it feel like a real small town. We have lost items, but no Copper or Booker to have them on a shelf for us the player to lend a hand and find their owners
