Everyone lost a old brother today, my father with almost 38 million miles under his belt, he has gone to the big rest stop in the sky after fighting cancer for many years

My Dad, John Howard, was a proud employee of Detroit Diesel, first as Service Engineer then as Sales Manager from the mid-60s to mid-90s when he retired. He worked with distributors from Maine to Washington, D.C. I’m so pleased to hear Detroit Diesel mentioned in this fine song. Thank you to all truckers. RIP Dad.

This song nails it. 39 years on the road, 2 divorces, and still going strong. She didn't get my truck, she tried! Loven the Outlaw life.

Said goodbye to my truck driver yesterday for the 1st time in 2 yrs he rolled out without me riding shotgun. Was time for me to get off though with our little boy coming in just a few weeks. He runs Reefer OTR. Many thanks to all you truck drivers out there who keep this country rolling. May your lanes be clear and the miles roll by quickly

I’m a retired driver with 45 years of driving, since training in The U.S.Army! Plus born to a wonderful Mom&Dad, who owned a smallish Mom&Pop trucking company! So you can say it’s in my blood. Moving trucks around the terminal yard since I was old enough to reach the pedals and see over the wheel, with enough strength to wrestle a wheel with no power steering! From local running, regional over the road, refer, dry box, flatbed and dump, with off road excavation. For over 45 years and a million miles, all with a clear drivers record! Hauling everything from dirt, to sides of beef!

As a dry box hauler with flatbed and freezer box experience, people just don't understand that if we stop for just one day, the U.S. will be crippled. I suggest that if you want it, give us the space to haul it.
