AKAI EWI 5000s latching sounds fix

About 9 months into playing the EWI I realized that the responsiveness of the sounds was off. Meaning that the sounds did not stop playing when I stopped the air preassure. There was no help that I could find online. So I fixed it. And then realized that there might be others that have the same problem. Therefore I took all the fotage I had and put it here. Feel free to pause for detailed views.

Remember dissassembly most likely will void your warranty.

Turned out that cleaning the pipe leading to the preassure sensor fixed the problem for me.

differnet topic, auto-power-off [Ao] is not working on my EWI5000. I have reset to factory settings a few times. Installed firmware 1545 and installed latest firmware 1546, recommended to me by akai support. Nothing helps. I don't know if a certain setting prevents this. I allready asked in several forums or youtube channel. And now here, may be somebody has an idea for this issue? thanks

Every week or so I clean my mouth extra thorougly and just blow water through my EWI.
Thinking about doing that with mouthwash but I wonder how much more effective that really is.

Hi Peter, I'm watching this video because I want to find where the grounding bar for the octave rollers has a connection where I can connect a lead. I want to use a wrist strap with alligator clip to ground my thumb as I'm having to lick my thump to ground. If I don't do this I can't play the octave I want (I live in a very dry climate, I've tried lotion, adjusting the EWI5000, but I still have to moisten my thumb!).
I've tried connecting a copper wire lead to different screws in the hopes that one is grounded, to no avail. Do you know if any of the screws is grounded? Do you think adding a lead so that I can attach the wrist grounding strap is a viable solution? I am open to any suggestion. I can solder well, I'm NASA certified in assembly so It doesn't make me nervous to modify the instrument. Thanks for any ideas. I'm retired disabled and

Hi i have a problem with my ewi 5000 it get Freeze AND i can't turn ir off or play it just put LD on the LCD screen.plese jelp i disconet the batery ir works a few hours AND then again por the same error LD

Can you please send me a backup of sd card? I have C.7 error and ewi stuck on it. I can manage setup settings and update firmware through mac, which goes ok, but no changes. Still C.7 error.
