"The Thief’s Story" is a beautiful narration of a life-changing episode of a 15-year-old boy, Hari Singh, who used to befriend people in order to rob them. Hari met Anil, a 25-year-old struggling writer, during a wrestling match. Hari, in awe of befriending Anil, asked him for some work.

Anil kept Hari as a cook at his home, and in return, he promised him that he would teach him how to write and read. One day, Anil received a bundle of money from his publisher and kept it under his mattress. Hari noticed this and escaped with Anil's money. But in the end, he returned Anil’s money.

Hari could have easily escaped with Anil’s money, but something along the way led to a change of heart.

guys it is a little wrong because:
1. anil did not give any 1-rupee tip to Hari, instead he would make a profit while shopping groceries.
2. Hari did not miss his train to Lucknow but he instead hesitated to jump into the train for some reason.
3. there was not a heavy downpour at first. It was just a drizzle first.
