Gaboon viper is a gorgeous snake. Nature really did a number with that.

Such a tremendous person doing that. Here in Australia we have very few deaths due to the brilliant humans who milk the venomous snakes to provide anti venom.
I’ve known a couple of people who have done this type of work & been bitten- such a risk!!! Well done you beautiful life saving humans! Not a job for the faint hearted!!!

I'm beginning to love vipers. I'm from Ghana but living in ivory coast "Africa". I mostly go to the Palm trees farm to work. In the farm, we have vipers, Black mambas and green mambas, cobras and a certain type of snake... they look slim and smaller and have brown colour which blends them with the floor. The viper is everywhere around the farm but you can't easily see them. The vipers can stay at one place till you leave before they make their move. Same vipers can stay still even when you step on them but not the tip of the tail. Actually their mode of hiding from us is by staying still at one position till the person is out of their way. I love how they are to mankind unlike the the black mamba. The black mamba can attack from any angle, the green mamba stays up the trees so they don't get to disturb but don't get them angry. The cobras are very busy looking for food and don't need your disturbance. That little snake, they bite in close range and take their way. I think the vipers are friendly.

I have one question how do you let go of the viper after your done milking it without it turning around and biting you??

Puff Adders and Gaboon Vipers, Yikes! Hold him, don't hurt him, because if you do, the rest of the day is not going to be that great of a day. Much respect for snake handlers, because OMG, I couldn't do it! But isn't it ironic that some of the most beautiful snakes are some of the deadliest?

OMG!! Gaboon vipers are as magnificient as deadly! These snakes are huge and extremely fast when they go for the bite! Look at the size of that head!!!
