This is my view of the movie and you're free to disagree. Also, I don't think Multiverse of Madness is a great superhero movie either. I was making a comparison. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING! And don't forget to subscribe and ring the notification bell!

"This is a movie made by Americans for Americans using Africa as a prop". I stood up and clapped. Damn right, sir.

In a real African setting, Mbaku would have been made king.. He challenged Tchalla and was a leader in his domain.

I lost interest when they said they were killing T’challa because Bosemsan died.
Since the character existed before Boseman and wasn’t made because of him, that doesn’t make any sense. May he RIP.

Nobody treats Africa like a costume like a black American.

I was really interested to see what a real African thought of the movie since as a white man it looked like it was using Africa as a prop but I thought I was just misinformed.

You summed it up so well! This movie is about making African Americans feel good about themselves

"Why do you have to infuse your stupid American identity politics into it" - You took the exact words out of my mouth. I am not African but I had a gut feeling that there was something off about this movie, it speaks so much about Africa yet I have not even heard or seen one African country mentioned. The only thing African here is America's stereotyping of Africa and its aesthetics. Good analysis my friend, and because of that, I am a subscriber.

Ok as a kenyan I saw black panther was more about black americans more than africans mean everything about it was so wrong😢 BUT the only character who acted as a true African is T'challa calm, collected and not shouting everywhere he was the best part of BP

I'm Xhosa, and I find it really irritating that Hollywood loves our language but they hire people who can't even pronounce a word properly. Use other languages please, Africa is huge. And hate how every African movie that is created in Hollywood always has that generic African accent, no matter if you are Nigerian, Angolan, South African or another nation in Africa so apparently we sound alike. Or just give your actors two year practice to not irritate us.

Baba you are so right. The issue is us Black Americans want so bad to "connect" with Africa but because we are so dependent on Hollywood to facilitate that "connection" we Black Americans swallow what Hollywood gives without any question. What is really sad is there are Blacks in America who actually believe that Wakanda is a real country in the "country of Africa"

I remember asking my African coworkers how the movie was. Her major complaint, which was the only thing she said, ‘ the accent was terrible’

I have great respect for your channel and your opinions. I felt the same « cultural appropriation by Americans for Americans only » you nailed it. But as a white European if I dare say it they ll rip me apart.I m happy to hear your opinions in every episode you are level headed, highly sophisticated in your delivery every time and you express I guess what all other level headed, civilized citizens think when we see culture overall getting bulldozered by woke agendas with no substance just catchy taglines ✌🏻✌🏻

Africa is deeply patriarchal. As an African, educated, modern woman, I like it like that and I appreciate it!

As a Kenyan I share much of my perspective with the Nigerian perspective. I concur

You are a very powerful speaker and I'm glad someone finally said it because noone else is allowed to criticise it for fear of being called racist even people who are black are being called traitors for not liking Black Panther.

The time I said Black Panther was not as great as we expected, I recieved massive backlash. I cited similar reasons to what you've mentioned. And BP2? 🙆🏾‍♀️ Travesty. 😭
