My 75 yr old mother's Nexus card was suddenly "invalid" two weeks ago while travelling from Toronto to the USA to see her grandkids. She is all of 5 ft tall, and has been travelling regularly to the USA for years. She was taken into a room and interrogated for a significant amount of time, and she said if her American husband had not been travelling with her, she felt she would have been detained. The USA border security asked her WHAT BUSINESS SHE HAD TRAVELLING WITHOUT HER HUSBAND.
No, we are not stepping foot in the USA again. Absolutely not.
