Who would have thought THIS was America's favorite new destination. Is the hype overrated?

I went all around Utah to report back on if this state is all it's cracked up to be.

To be honest, it seems like most cities in the us are actually failing

Fun fact and I’m not LDS but the original temple at temple square was built rock by rock they brought each piece in. Religious or not it’s an incredible piece of architecture and history. During Christmas it’s very beautiful with all of it lit up with Christmas lights.

I grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah. I love in idaho now for 17 yrs but watching this video shook me to the core! And I never thought I'd hear Orem referred to as a suburb of Salt Lake City!! It breaks my heart to see the open space I grew up in, now being packed like sardines with homes.

Lifelong Utahn here (Salt Lake City). It's only gotten worse, but yeah, it's still better than a lot of other cities. That doesn't mean much. Big cities are not the move unless you're doing big business. Small towns are the best place for people to be.

Moved outta Utah 4 years ago to California and I can say it’s easily the worst decision I’ve ever made.

This guy is right. Everyone likes or needs something different. But most of all affordable. America is becoming more & more unaffordable. In Maryland my property taxes tripled in 6 yrs.

I’ve grown up in Utah, my parents grew up in Utah, my grandparents grew up here. I’ve watched it change completely. It’s no longer the state I remember

Nick needs to come to SLC in mid january when we are at the height of the winter inversion and slog so thick you can’t see the mountains. The air pollution is real and has been an issue for a very long time.

The reaction to the California plated rental car is too funny 😆 Being labeled a Californian in another state is a real problem, considering the current rhetoric. You really do get treated with disdain by other drivers. I’ve legitimately seen cars in Arizona with paper signs in the back window saying “This is a Rental Car: I’m Not a Californian and Have Lived Here my Entire Life” 😂

I’ll never understand why people leave California because of how bad things are, but when they get to their next destination they keep voting for the same thing. It’s a spreading cancer

You didn’t even scratch the surface
Utah is probably one of the best run states, despite it allowing too much growth

My wife and I are driving through currently, and she says "listening to you is like having you with us on our road trip, and it's been comforting" thank you!

I moved from WA to Houston, TX and had to drive thru Utah. Man it’s a breathtaking drive! I had no idea the landscape there was so amazing

I've only been to Utah twice, but must say I love that state and really want to return. Standing in Down Town SLC, watching that fantastic sunset reflected on the mountains, almost brings you an unearthly feeling. It's also quite easy to go to Utah from my home country Sweden. You only need to change airplane at Schiphol, Netherlands, and in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Delta forever ⭐ Greetings from the little town of Strömstad, at the Swedish West Coast.

My friend volunteered for years at a downtown homeless shelter. The interesting thing is that almost none of them were FROM Utah. They all came in on buses from other states becase word of mouth got out that Utah has good services for the homeless...or other states paid for their bus fare. That's in interesting challenge. Salt Lake City is building more shelters but I suspect the more services you provide the more you will attract.

Being a “Stoic” doesn’t mean discarding emotions.
1: Focus on what you can control.
2: Take action.
3: Be virtuous.
4: Lead by example.
5: Diminish your ego.
6: You’re not entitled to anything.
7: Exercise your will.
8: Practice resilience when faced with obstacles, failure, or tragedy.
9: Choose your response.
