elk buttons, everything we would need to make our festival clothes. Made looms and taught myself how to weave using heavy embroidery floss and beads. My youngest son & I would trade beads. I also taught myself crazy quilting and used it in my jackets. Fell into a clinical depression and severe anxiety disorder with panic attacks. Suffered insomnia and believe I would have totally lost my mind without my creative endeavers! Like you, I was always into fashion and beautiful things. Still am!

I too modeled and worked in retail as a fashion coordinator/fashion show/in-store publicity and eventually switched to owning my own model/talent agency. I live in Michigan in the USA but have lived in England over the years since both of my parents were from England (Mansfield and Nottingham). They later owned a home in Devon near Torquay. I started watching fashion videos to learn how to buy clothes more wisely. I would buy things on sale or be drawn to a beautiful pattern, but then ended up with a lot of clothes that didn't go together. I loved your Breton shirt video - it seems like the perfect shirt to go with everything. Definitely one solution to the problem I was having! haha

That was lovely Jess. I grew up in the Ribble Valley but moved to Milan when I was 19 and have lived in Italy ever since. I now live in a seaside resort on the Adriatic coast. I used to draw outfits when I was about 5 or 6, mostly evening and occasion wear and was really into fashion as a teenager but during my 20s and 30s lost interest as my career and life took over. I've now got back into it again and adore trawling the shops for a bargain or vintage things. I love your videos and find them so inspiring.😘

Hi Jess. That was great and you answered my question 🙂 yeah. Loved hearing about your love of fashion and family - you are so natural and confident on camera ( I wound not be ) . So interesting to hear about the good and not so good side of modelling. I was so pleased to find your channel last year. I thought finally someone I can relate to 👌l love fashion and have from pretty young. Having two sisters was great ( sometimes) as we could swap clothes etc. I couldn’t wait to get a Saturday job in a fashion store ( the uniform was a black maxi skirt and a black T-shirt with stars ) I thought I was the bees knees! I have only one son age 13 ( tricky age) ha ha . He has autism so can be a challenge but he is so lovely and makes us laugh and definitely on our toes. The camera is unforgiving of fakes, ill prepared and uninformed presenters. I was a stylist back in the day when fashion photographers employed their own . I started with a love of Vogue and devoured every issue in my boarding school dormitory. How lovely to find out a little about you. I had you mentally categorized as a model, now I see that you may have been or still are a model, but you are also a real woman like the rest of us. Thank you for sharing part of yourself. My interest in fashion came later in life. I always enjoyed nice clothes but never had confidence in putting outfits together until I found Youtube. You and others like you are teaching me a lot and I am enjoying experimenting a bit more with fashion.
