probably worth mentioning that CHKDSK solution can take over half a day + if u have a large drive

I tried the method of plugging my external hd into another computer to delete a stubborn file that would not delete.It worked. Thank you for the video.

Just a note to anyone with a Wright-Protected drive, you might want to check the drive itself for a physical lock, I can tell you from experience that it's really easy to forget some things like SD Cards have inbuilt locks that you might have accidentally left on.

I removed write protection. It did not help me in deleting the file. It changed the drive letter for my external hard drive and now it added another directory for my external drive. Can I reverse this option and re add the read only that I cleared in CMD. Thanks in advance probably not big deal just don't like the change and want it back the way it was. I will just live with the file I cant delete.
