Human Movement and Balance Laboratory

Показать описание
Graduate student April Chambers discusses the Human Movement and Balance Laboratory at the Swanson School's Department of Bioengineering.
This research and teaching laboratory is under the direction of Rakié Cham, PhD, and Mark Redfern, PhD, and offers graduate and undergraduate students the ability to participate in a variety of whole body biomechanics research. The facility utilizes a variety of motion analysis systems, force-plate equipment and EMG units to collect kinematics, kinetics, and muscle activity during various human movement experiments. An overhead support system allows for the safe collection of data during locomotion on flat and inclined surfaces. Modeling software is also available to simulate, validate, and predict whole-body biomechanics.
