What i really liked in Delta Force is:
- Yeah its a copy, but a very good copy.
- Its not just a copy, they are trying to improve where BF2042 failed. You can clearly see in the details like when Falck tries to cure someone in BF2042 and the guy is running, you never hit the guy, but in Delta Force it "locks" onto the guy. Sniper shots shows the bullet path so you can better compensate for the bullet drop. It shows that they really played BF2042 and they know its problems.

I played for 10 hours straight so far and I do love it. There is some questionable stuff in there though:
- hero shooter (it needs to go because it literally kills the vibe of this game)
- this Luna character with yet again another wallhack shit
- Lack of proper movement (only this red guy has some temporary movement abilities which is not enough)
- vehicles feel underwhelming
- the maps are fine, however 387584 headglitch spots have been identified already

Some good stuff:
- guns feel great
- attachment system is vast and still transparent
- gunplay is great
- fun was found

imagine DeltaForce is an actually good game for free why should you even bother to pay 60-120€/$ for the next game that may or may not flop mere minutes after release....

This feels like they took the best qualities/elements of what people love about Call of Duty (specifically Modern Warfare 2019) and Battlefield (3, 4, and the later half of 2042's lifespan) and put it all together.

But, much like what you said, i too am cautiously optimistic.

Remember people Battlefield is a copy of Delta Force not the other way around. People keep trying to say this is a copy of Battlefield when Delta Force originally came out years before Battlefield was a thing.
The Original Delta Force had 32 players online and it came out in 1998. Battlefield 1942 came out in 2002 with 32 players online. Who copied who? >.>

I think the competition aspect is huge. Battlefield NEEDS competition to remain relevant and also force them to implement features that players want. If delta force has features that BF players want hopefully it will force dice/EA to get their heads out of their ___ and actually make a decent game again.
