Lincoln has upped the game with the launch of their new models whereby styling has been thoroughly revised and thanks to this new architecture, the MKC definitely looks more contemporary and flamboyant than its predecessor which was lost in transformation between an estate and a crossover. It's a potent offering over the previous MKX to say the least. It's compact, it's vehement and comes with the usual driving and safety tech which one could aspire for. However, the dash carries the look of their older generation cars which doesn't make it enthralling inside like an Infiniti QX50. The basic instrument cluster further disallows the buyers to own one and the sense of opulence expected at such a steep price is surely missed. However, looking at it from an enthusiast's eye, it's got enough grunt and much more than its competitors and considering most buyers would spend their time behind its wheel, it gets full marks in terms of driving aesthetics. However, the tacky centre console and the electronics which cannot be said to last longer and the poor brand recognition in our region steals away from this otherwise better alternative to those cars which are just mere stereotypes having nothing but a strong badge value. Also, one gets to avail similar amounts of technology, comfort and power in a much affordable Ford Edge which sets up a dilemma whether to spend over a lakh additional and go for the MKC or the Edge seizes the deal with no compromises.

Don't even come close to a ford escape.
Like day and night. I own both cars.
