I'm from the UK and on a trip to the US I went to a store in Galveston TX that just sold jerky. I was in heaven! Purchased the extra spicy type and it was fantastic. 👍🇬🇧

Van…thanks for all of your videos. Learned a lot. I’ve even gotten the Chef’s Elite tumbler. Have you ever encountered where the tumbler doesn’t shut off?..keeps vacuuming. Is there a trick?

Hey Van, just found your channel not long ago. Have you ever used Dale's Steak Marinade for jerky? I'd love to see a video on a Marinade mixed into ground beef, and shot with a jerky gun. I just tried it and it was a little squirty. Maybe I used Too Much marinade I'm really not for sure. I also used a dry mix from Walmart for 5 lb of ground beef and I did exactly what the direction said and the jerky turned out pretty bland. The way I fixed it was I made a marinade with that Dale's add an accent to it along with some spicy Cajun seasoning called SlapYaMama Hot Blend, and some brown sugar to help bind it all together. I rehydrated those strips for 24 hours then threw it on the dehydrator for two and when I took it to work everybody said that was the best beef jerky they'd ever had which really surprised me because I almost had a bad run of 5 lb that was gonna be neighbors dog treats if I couldn't fix it...

i would suggest cutting the strips a lot larger and even thicker. The finished product has shrunk to almost nothing, You want them a lot bigger when finished like the commercial kind . And they come out better . The small strips get way too hard and too fast to control. Just my two cents and I wanted to be helpful. Do enjoy the video.
