I remember asking a girl out and she just said "Ew no, you will probably cheat on me with an other gender" and that made me feel worst because I was already in a mental state where I had internalised biphobia and acephobia and it was just horrible I hated myself
But I learned to be proud ^^ and now I'm a proud biromantic demi-girl!!

It's fascinating to me as a bi woman to see people from the gay community who preach the importance and validity of ones' identities and the horrors of discrimination based on sexuality, but then these same people will turn around and do these same things to bi people. And this is always the most hurtful and puzzling, to face discrimination from people who struggle with a lot of the same/similar issues CHOOSE to dismiss and hate you based on your sexuality just like straight ppl do.
Let's gain some self-awareness, guys.

You are damn right! I see some lesbians in the comments totally misinterpreting what biphobic means. Phobia is irrational fear/aversion and the hate is a consenquence of fear and lack of understanding. I'm monogamous bisexual who got cheated by a lesbian, due her own insecurities. Did I stop dating lesbians because of that? No, I just learned from that experience and became better at reading people and setting boundaries.

Some Kinsey 6 lesbians cannot accept Kinsey 5 lesbians. In my opinion that's stupid. Lesbiana find it hard to find other lesbians. The Kinsey 5 persob can be very attractive and content in a same sex relationship. Finding a partner becomes very difficult if she needs to be Kinsey 6 too.

sexual orientation does inform your world view and life experiences. I'm so sick of ppl using 'whatever-phobic' to guilt lesbians (anyone) into 'consenting' relationships/sex. No is a complete sentence. It's not hate to want what you want and to love fellow lesbians exclusively. I truly wish the best for bi ppl, there's plenty of love out there- but let's stop pressuring lesbians about their own personal love lives/life choices.

Idk, I'm monogamy bisexuality, but I've been hurt by all the girls I've been with that day they are bi, by fakingit for attention and hurting me, and so I can understand how lesbians, especially femme, would be scared, but maybe not phobic, you might just have to prove yourself since that's a common thought that we don't know what we want lol, I hate the label, I like masculine men, or pretty women who are legit and compatible. But I don't do in between.
