Muhammad used captured Christian and Jewish scribes. Also adopted the prostrations and beads from the early Christian desert fathers. Example: Acts 9:31 & Quran 9:31. Quran 2:1 was a Jewish scribes code. Isaiah warned (or was copied by Islamic biographers) verses of warning about the heresy of Arianism: Isaiah 29:9-12 & 42. Arianism says Jesus is only a human prophet with no divine attributes. Christianity says both qualities - Divine and human. The sign of the cross was used to combat this Heresy.
