Docm77´s Minecraft 1.0.0 Tutorial: Multi Floor Boat Elevator

If you're just gonna have 2 floors with a select floor function, you only need a single collumn of redstone torches, connect to one lever insted of 2 collumns with 2 buttons. Just hook up the trapdoors one at a powered torch and the other on an unpowered one. Switch lever = both trapdoors changes state.

Yet again, amazing video. I have a quick suggestion. You should try to crete your own Advanced transportation system, which would have the goals of
-Easy to go up and down
-Not too difficult to turn
-Resource efficient
-faster than normal mine cart or boat.

I think that would be a a cool project to experiment with :)

@docm77 I think he means, it had been released for two minutes, while the video was 10 mins long, so they couldnt have watched the whole thing before typing 'nice video'

@docm77 I think he was saying that it's impossible for someone to watch the whole 10 minute video in 2 minutes, so people are already saying "nice video" when they obviously haven't even finished watching the video :P

@TStefGames To switch between Survival and creative you press 'B' this was implemented in the Week 49 SHAPSHOT (PS. Docm said it in the previous video)

@RTesta3 I was just explaining what some other guy said, cause doc misunderstood what he meant. I like docm's videos before I watch them, but I don't comment "nice video" when I clearly didn't even finish watching the video. Either way, I was just clarifying for him, no need to shoot the messenger.

Doesn't work in SMP for me either. The moving water takes me out of the elevator on the second or third floor every time, whether I have the trap doors down or not.

@Biotasm Yes it does, I use the RedPower2 mod but I'd love to see it in the vanilla game.

now make multifloor selection for the water break using multiple water blocks and a piston below each water block that comes out to stop you on different floors :D. I've never built a elevator but I think i might use this design.

@DPMH4 In the recent pre-release you can press 'B' to switch between creative & survival. I think he says something about it in the video. ;)

@TStefGames hes using sapshot 3 i think and if you press B it changes the mode

@SomthingGreen in his simple boat elevator he said he used a fast elevator and the tut was for a simple elevator
