CFA Methodology

Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) Piling is the quietest form of piling and is a fast and very economical technique. It is a cast in-situ process, very suited to soft ground where deep casings or use of drilling support fluids might otherwise be needed. CFA piling is a non displacement piling system; hence the soil excavated from the pile is brought to the surface. CFA piles can be an attractive alternative to conventional bored piles (faster installation) and to driven piles (much less noise and vibration).

I just bought an older tow behind drill rill rig that I was told is for drilling shallow wells and I need more info on because it has solid continuous flight augers, 3" and 2" diameter, two 6' sections of each. They are not hollow for injecting anything down the center of them. It has a single cylinder Wisconsin 6.5 hp motor for the hydraulic assist to raise and lower the drill and a 2 cylinder Wisconsin 18hp motor with some type of transmission made by "Long-Airdox" that the drills are then attached to and driven. Anybody familiar with this? Thanks!

Im still quite unsure how the bored hole is cleaned before concrete is pumped in. Is the extraction via the auger alone sufficient to clean the borehole?

I think there will be a problem while cage lowering. If the cage did not inserted properly.
