Azure AD Connect Sync and Cloud Sync, What’s the Difference?

preview_player
Показать описание
Many organizations use Azure AD Connect Sync to synchronize hybrid identities from Windows AD to Azure AD DS. Microsoft recently announces a new service, Azure AD Connect Cloud Sync, that also synchronizes Windows AD identities to Azure AD. In this video, we go over how they are similar, features that are different, and when to use one or the other.

Nice video, man. I really wish MS would come up with more distinct names for their Azure products. Thanks for your other video on Azure AD vs Azure AD DS as well.

Thanks man. The last few minutes really cleared the differences up for me. Even MS's site on Cloud Sync didn't break down as well.

It begs the question why Microsoft doesn't consolidate the feature set of these two solutions and offer only one AD sync agent that does it all. Hopefully that's in development. Thanks for the continuing good content :-)

I understood that the Connect was going to be phased out. Clearly the AD Cloud Sync is not the replacement product. Thoughts?

Hi, that was interesting explanation. But, you say if object writeback isn't supported in cloud sync so SSPR isn't supported too. But in reality, Password Writeback using cloud sync menu is available. So, which one is correct?
