Brilliant! The Mack B Model would have to be my favourite. Great idea for a series.

You seriously have to go back when all the Mack's are there.
Then you can start on the cars 😄
Well done.
Truck on.
🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛

Nice collection Darren haven’t seen or heard of you for a long time I drove the blue b61 model Mack for you at Beenleigh I’m not sure if I had my yellow b61 or the silver b61 at that show, we still have a few restored and unrestored Macks Regards Rob Hall

The E.H.'s were petrol that worked in the Newcastle steelworks hauling iron ore from ships to the stockpile by Brambles for many years until they became a liability. There were no other vehicles to do it The last I saw of them was when I was on a train going to Newcastle from Sydney. They were all stopped south of the Hawkesbury road bridge. It looked like some were being towed and some broke down. I would not be surprised if they were going to be repaired in Sydney [or scrapped] and sent further on to the Port Kembla plant. They don't make them like that anymore.

Australia's what modern geographers call "bloody huge". And yet, so many of the early domestic cars were weedy, tinny little English-like makes, ill suited for the long-range-bomber role. Imagine a 34-hour drive sitting behind a madly thrashing four banger. You'd think there would have been more of a market for a big Chrysler or GM product, like the Impalas or 300's...

Darren I'm sorry to tell you unless you have an N.R.10 or an E.H. your collection is not complete. They came here from the U.S. Army after the war. The N.R.'s had their rear wheel sizes cut down from 1400 20's to around 1100's. and hauled a semi. On the far north coast they loaded timber on the bottom and 100 empty 44's on top. When they delivered the timber down south they returned to Newcastle and loaded the 100 filled drums to go back north. [Five to the ton] They were called 100 drummers. They always waved to the kid on the corner going through. That kid was me. I called them stone faces. I did have a long drive of an N.R. when I was a kid and I thought I was in heaven. All the best to you.
