We eat. But how is that food used by our cells for work? Well, it's quite an involved process, involving glycolysis, the Citric Acid Cycle and the Electron Transport Chain. This video provides some background and an overview of all of these processes. It can be a scary topic, but take a deep breath and find out where that oxygen goes! WARNING: contains protist and prokaryotic sexual references.

I used this in high school during AP bio & got the highest score on my cell resp test out of the whole class. Now I'm using it to help me study for the mcat. amazing video!

At 72, retired nurse, I have found these videos most enjoyable and a great way to refresh myself and keep my mind active. Wish these were around when I went to school in the Stone Age.

These videos are a REVOLUTION in learning science.  The audio + visual aids make one 15 minute video more effective than hours of reading a textbook!!!  Many thanks!!

The energy is stored in bonds between the atoms of molecules; breaking those bonds releases the energy, just as building the bonds requires energy. We break bonds from food molecules and store the energy in ATP molecules, which cells use to do work. Hope that helps!

I found the first 6'ish minutes of this excellent for my year 8's. Great video for helping them understand cellular respiration.

The rest I'll save for my seniors.

a professional and fabulous enunciation... I mean while the other youtubers sound like a nine-years old rendering uncertainty in their talking, yours is just epic... and educated

I knew I would subscribe to this channel right after the introduction. I mean Bio is painful so why not make it un-complicated. My prof said, "for the next class, I will not conduct a regular lecture, so watch this video". Okkkkaaayyy was my reaction, but now I got she was humble enough to realize, "well I cannot do better than this" and my prof is so lady you are like super OMG you made this in 2013, where was I????

I do recall playing Hot Potato as a child in the 1970's ONCE at a birthday party, but I had no idea it was a formal game by Remco
