I loved this video. I am a Java EE developer who mainly works on back-ends for web apps. On the side I have been messing around with JavaFX after a friend asked me to make a desktop app.

The problem with web developers is they all say "nobody uses desktop apps anymore". They are so close-minded. They also don't believe me when I tell them that JavaFX is NOT AWT or Swing.

This is a great example of JavaFX doing enterprise applications. (I also like it because it involves NASA and I live right near JPL in Southern Cali).

Congratulations. Great work, this is simply cool.. My personal JavaFX open source project has starved. I am getting back to it after watching this video.

Jens Deters Thanks Jens.  Jim JavaFXpert will likely show it at GEE-CON in May as well.  Sadly I have other cool examples that are part of these applications however I had to limit the length of the video for the sake of presentation.
