So sorry to hear about your dad passing. I have an identical twin, and we are 67 years old. We have insights into you guys that maybe not everyone has. I have been doing keto for almost three years for health, no so much for weight. Now we both are on keto. I stray from total keto every once in a while, and I have found that even at my age, when I go on "hard-core clean keto, " I can drop a few pounds quickly. But I went on keto so I would feel good with the belief that there's no food in the world that tastes as good as feeling good. So, it's not all about weight but mostly about health for me. My carrot cake recipe from many years ago has some oil in it to keep it moist. Maybe that would help with the dryness in your mug cake.

I mix up LMNT every night…a big Ball Jar, carbonated water from my soda stream machine, an inch cube of lemon juice and a packet of LMNT. I rotate … the unflavored, grapefruit salt and citric salt. I drink it thru the night and then the next morning…. Love it. Next time I order, I am going to try the orange salt. I am sad for your loss…both of my parents are gone, as is my husband. Being a caregiver is so stressful, but you will always be glad you were there for your dad. And, know that your dad was glad you were there for him…..
