Thank you so much, Neil! Whatever I can do to keep fooling people into thinking I'm professional enough to pay me money is much appreciated.

Sadly in my experience 3D pdf has issues with more complex models/assemblies. Starting from 2019 the design share is cool and probably quickest way to get exploded view. Moreover client does not need account to view them just the link that I usually email.

Epic Neil. Thanks a lot.
Those little things, which make a huge difference.

Yay we are 17 at patreon 👍👍 people let’s get those numbers rising 👌

I know vred is kinda a side thing, but will you bring something in that direction? The most recent Instagram render looks sweet.

Thanks Neil. Seems to work great but I use Bluebeam and the model doesn't show up in it for some reason. I'll keep playing with it

Hey Neil, great video! I am curious how you would compare this approach to using Shared Views from Inventor? Do you have a preference over the two?

Fusion is giving me alot of head aches but in it i generate a link that the customer opens (in their browser) on their phone/computer wich lets them rotate, explode, measure ect and also add comments and then take snapshots of that and send back to me. When i then make the changes on the model theirs also update.

Kind of off topic here... A couple years back, you did a video on VR and CAD. Any chance you might be thinking about doing another one? Especially, with the new AR Magic Leap out now.

You can use measure tools inside adobe to reverse engineer it, it takes a long time, but I have done it.

Honestly with that one dimension value I can reverse engineer the whole part. Fellow ME here. Basically you do not give out any dimension and also block the possibility to measure anything in 3D pdf-s. I think the unprofessional method with low res pictures is a safe one.

Two things

1. I do not see this option available to use with assemblies.
2. Can this be published with something other than Adobe Acrobat Reader?

Good day. Please I need a quick answer on this. I use a
Autodesk Inventor 2017 and the annotate tab is not present there. How can i get it there? Am i supposed to download it or what and if i am to do that, how can I?

I tried to get clients to use 3d pdf but gave up. It was too difficult to get them to turn on 3d content in Acrobat reader or even to get them to download the free reader. The view function of 3d pdf is not very good compared exporting to dwf and sending the customer the link. All they need to do is click on the link, they need no software and with a quick pasted in note they have instructions to view and comment. Since I started doing this instead of 3d pdf things have gone very smoothly. 3d odf is OK but the dwf export is way better, in my and my customer's opinions.

....and what if you only have the freebie Adobe, not the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version?
