Presented at the SCI Forum on December 7, 2022

Most people with spinal cord injuries, who need a wheelchair, get their first wheelchair as part of inpatient rehabilitation. When it comes to the next chair (and the next chair), what is the process, what should you know before you start, who should you work with, who is involved, and what is the best way to get the best chair for you. Join us for this SCI Forum with presenters Jordan Cabrera, DPT, a physical therapist and seating expert at Harborview Medical Center’s Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Program, and Tracy Smith, ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) with NuMotion, as they discuss how they work together with patients to assess their needs, navigate insurance, and strive to get the best possible equipment for their patients.
