My understandings after hearing and reading BG 2.10 today's sloka a day and purpote

The very very sweet aspect of lord Sri Krishna is, he is ready to any position whatever the devotee desires
If we want him as friend, he will become friend to us
If we want him as son, he will take a position of son
Arjuna desired Krishna want to be his friend, so he became friend
Now, in this situation arjuna surrendered to Krishna and he desires Krishna want to be his Guru
Now, in this verse, why Krishna is smiling bcoz, his friend became a deciple(shishya)
And hrishikesha(Krishna) is going to control the mind of arjuna out of love for the benifit of arjun
Hrishikesha is another name of krishna which means the controller of senses
Now, the serious talk is happening between Krishna and arjuna between the two armies, so that everyone can hear and get benifited.

Chapter 2 Sloka 10
In this sloka, what i have understood is : Our lord krishna is ready to take any forms according to his devoties wishes . For example if a devotee wants him to be his son, he will be there as their son. If someone wants krishna to be their guru, then he is ready to be a guru. For example when Arjuna asked krishna to be his deciple he was ready to be arjunas guru.
Our Shri krishna is controller of mind. He tried to teach bhagawat geeta amidst both armies and everyone because he wanted to make clear that noone are exception on this holy satsang of lord krishna. So don’t say Bhagawat geeta as hindus literature or something. It’s a whole knowledge for everyone out there and here.
