And that South City lady was a fine lady indeed. This brings back so many excellent memories of the days when we were young and didn’t have a care and just fell into love each other. But time is a thief and those days are long long gone yet it’s good to hear this and reminisce of days gone by.

Wonderful song. Great lyrics and beat. It seems like when you hear these classics, you go back to a time when things were much more easy going, and you think about things that happened in your life when they were played on the radio.

Always a favorite, a few years ago I started playing it and it inspired me to learn more tunes in open G
.. then I met the love of my life, from Louisville KY, and of course now it's "our song".... Thanks Patrick Simmons!

Pat Simmons is musical genius. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. The bridge in the middle that reaches the crescendo always gives me complete body goosebumps. The orchestration, the singing, the tune, the words everything is perfect.

I met my ''South Lake Tahoe Midnight Lady'' in November of 1980. We married in August of 1983. Man, what a woman! She took me as I was and made me the man I am today. Playing cards all night on a Saturday with friends and afew brothers I would come to bed just before Sundays dawn. I would walk over to her side of the bed, making sure she was tucked in and just look at her while she slept. What did I ever do in my life to deserve this earth angel? One evening while having dinner she said that she would ''go'' before me! Shocked, I asked why would you say something like that? She calmly said " your stronger than me and you could go on without me. I could not live without you"! God called my earth angel home in November of 2009. I've had thousands of nights thinking of the lessons she taught me about life. How to love and to be loved, how to live, how to laugh. ''South Lake Tahoe Midnight Lady'' I AM much obliged in you for saving THIS man how's soul was in need. I will dutifully do my time here on earth till God calls me, proud in knowing you chose me all the while wrestling with thoughts of what could have been.
