The Best Halberdiers in Age of Empires 2?

Many civilisations in AoE2 get fully upgraded or even slightly better than fully upgraded Halberdiers, but this video focuses on the 5 civs with the best Halbs!

I genuinely think these 5 civilisations have the best Halbs, but the order in which I put my top 5 may be different to you, so let me know if you'd have changed the order and why that is. In spite of this, my favourite Halbs to use are probably Slav ones, Druzinha is a really fun tech to utilise.

I'd place the Burmese Halb higher than the Japanese I feel that the Halb vs Calvery is a strong enough counter no matter what civ you pic that the Halbs additional effectiveness against other unit types is much more relevant. Champions for example are not a strong counter to Burmese Halbs which can be a huge deal.

I think it would be nice to make a follow up video for Pikemen. And discuss about Malian, Viking, and Aztec Pikemen, and how they compare vs the generic halberdier. Also, some mention of Lithuanians, Byz and Goths Halbs would have been nice to see as well.

Nice video, don't however agree fully with putting Teutons above Japanese.

Halbs are often used as a counter to cavalry to support siege or archers. In that case being able to kill faster while the enemy cav tries to target other units is way more valuable than being able to sustain more damage.

Japanese or Goths is the answer. Burmese Halberdiers are better in Halb mirror but worse against cavalry. Slavs can beat Japanese when they reach a critical mass, and only after researching Druszhina in the Imp Age. Way too circumstantial to be put above Japanese or Goths.

halbs 1v1ning is useless when Slav's trample damage exist since you never in your life do 1v1 halb fights xD

Lithuanian halbs are faster than celt halbs but are missing 1 melee armor
