This video was very much needed as I start year 12 next week and did not want to carry four folders around with no lockers.

For those who take notes digitally - this still works! You can keep your physical worksheets in the day folder and your digital notes digitally until the end of a chapter, then print all of the notes and put them into the subject specific folder with the physical worksheets (keep them separate if you feel like it). In my subject specific folders I always have the spec printed at the beginning and then dividers for each larger chapter from the spec. I tend to just keep notes and key worksheets and actually throw away question sheets, because I know I won’t use them to refer back to when I have the info concisely in my notes. In terms of actual note taking, I find it helpful to just type everything that comes into your head while in lesson and focus on understanding the content, then in my next free or when I’m home I’ll take 15-20 minutes to format and organise the notes in a more concise way that makes sense to me, with subtitles and colours etc. :)

Hi jade ! Just wanted to say thank you for your videos ! Especially the study with me ones. They motivated me to revise for my GCSE’s, and somehow managed to get four 9s, two 8s and four 7s! Xx

I so wish there were studytubers like you when I was at college. Looking back I had the potential to do so much better but had to muddle through by myself. Having someone like yourself to guide organisation, revision techniques etc would have so helped me. I now refer my GCSE students to channels like yours to help them.

Spent hours organising my folders yesterday (I love it) and I've got 4 subject folders (Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Economics) and a day folder, I basically did this exact method. Oh and I clipped note cards to the side in case I need them. I'm so excited for sixth form

Hi Jade 😍 I'm french and in 3 days I will be moving to London for uni ! I'm really excited but also kind of scared.. like I'm such an introvert and English is not my first language. I hope everything goes well for you xo

I almost do this, the only difference being instead of having a day ring-binded folder, I have separate A4 plastic wallets for each subject which I use in the same way.

The 4 wallets fit in my backpack whereas a big ring-binded folder wouldn't.

I used this method! I didn't even realise it wasn't widespread, it seems so obvious once you know about it lol. Another thing I found helpful during sixth form was a bullet journal. I didn't do any fancy calligraphy or anything, I just used it to record the homework I had to do throughout the week as well as other stuff I had going on because I was fed up of school homework diaries that don't have any space to record events you have going on outside of school. So I had a monthly spread which was just literally an overview of the month, a homework spread each week, and then daily sections (not whole pages) where I made lists of what was happening that day, what I needed to get done and anything interesting that happened. I would totally encourage people to look up the bullet journalling system because tbh it saved my life in sixth form!
