No, you still can't hear the bass. Not for lack of trying. At one point I had about 15db of super stiff compression on everything below 80hz just to see if there was any bass guitar I could bring out. All I got for my efforts was a squashed kick drum and low end guitar mud. Oh well. At that point, I gave up and said to myself "Lets just master this like a modern metal album and leave it at that." So here you go.

Remember to support the artist and buy their music!

All remastered music posted here is for the purposes of entertainment and experimentation only. I am simply exploring modern mastering techniques and their effect on great albums from various eras. I love these bands and their music and am in no way seeking to monetize anything about this. All rights are with the original artist and no infringement is intended.

I can remember listening to this in my bedroom when it first came out, playing C64 games back in the 80s. God I'm old :o) Not sure if I prefer this or

One of the greatest masterpieces of music ever. In high school this album literally never left my tape deck for about two years. I must have listened to it thousands of times. And I’ll listen thousands more

Metallica's 1988 ...And Justice for all album is by for one of the heaviest, loudest, and the most brutal album they have ever recoded in the late 80's.

The end of the guitar solo and going right back into the Blackened main intro riff is still one of musical moments that just absolutely destroy me.

I know "Ride the lightning" and "Master of Puppets" are absolute masterpieces and I love them dearly.
But this is, despite it's (sound) technical flaws, to this day my absolute favorite Metallica album - dunno why, it just is :)

There is no work like ...And Justice For All, nobody can overcome it even by putting all their intentions into it. Incredibly inspired for 1988.

I was a kid when they came out. When I first actually listened to them is when I saw the MTV video One. I'm now 45 & still LOVE the old Metallica. That's when I started to listen to metal. My whole life changed. Metalheads forever!

Yeah I remember borrowing a tape from some guy I worked with when I was in 7th grade. It was this album. I was hooked! I’m 47 now. Still love it!

Justice is probably one of the most badass metal albums ever imo.
Awesome moments on Justice that melt my face:

0:00 - Blackened Intro
4:05 - Blackened Harmony Solo
8:18 - ...And Justice For All harmony
15:51 - Underrated harmony part (is that bass???)
20:48 - Eye of the Beholder harmony solo
26:43 - One harmony Section
27:23 - Dissonant cord and heavy part comes in
28:08 - LEFT ME WITH LIFE IN
28:36 - OMG
29:26 - One Harmony Solo
41:06 - Harvester of Sorrow Harmony Section
46:10 - Frayed Ends of Sanity Harmony Solo
46:26 - The part that melts my face every time + 46:33 - Kickass riff
50:11 - To Live Is To Die Acoustic Opening
53:23 - Kirk's Solo
55:04 - Melodic break that makes you wanna cry
56:01 - James' Solo that also makes you wanna cry
56:28 - Solo Ends and you wanna cry as the song comes back
59:56 - Dyer's Eve scaring the crap out of me
1:03:34 - Kirk's Solo

Yeah... I overanalyze everything. Can't believe I wasted, like, 40 minutes on this.

All of my adult life has been spent with these guys! MY TWO Babies all the way to adults them self's and a bit metal to. Their just a couple of years younger than I am! Now I find I'm stuck indoors because of you know what @ 62, alone because the woman I married died last November so to cheer up I'm listening to my dear old buddies fucking JAM IT

I wore this tape out when I was a kid and stole another one... I'm not proud of it, it's sad but true.
Every song is a masterpiece.
Amazing how relatable to 2021 this album is, we can't say we weren't warned...also sad but true.

Larga vida a METALLICA

Kirk's best solos on this album by far.
