Get More Views on Your YouTube Videos—Define the Gap (Story Structure)

Показать описание
Make your videos more interesting by using this one story telling device—Gap (that lives between subjective expectations and objective reality) as referenced by screenwriting guru/coach Robert McKee. Why are your videos so boring? How do you edit and tell stories that are more engaging and interesting? Is there a better way to structure your stories?

In Aaron's debut video he talks about “Beats” and “Gaps,” a storytelling concept from Robert Mckee's book Story. He breaks down his favorite youtuber Casey Neistat and how he tells storys and makes mundane stuff interesting. I Tip to Make BETTER Videos and tell more compelling stories.

I don't know what's going over there at Futur Towers but you guys are killing it more than ever lately. This was really refreshing. More Aaron, more Matthew, More Everything!

The Futur can read my mind. I was just thinking that storytelling is one of the things that my youtube videos are missing! You did a great job!

His aura was very personal and he delivered the concept in a very quick, concise and simple way that makes the video more interesting and it just beams with his personality. ❤️❤️❤️ More Aaron videos please.

Woot woot! Awesomely put together. It's got an "Aaron" signature on it. Closing with "Life happens in the GAP" and the visuals of the cranes was a great way to put a ribbon on the whole thing. Looking forward for more storytelling from you.

Here I am downloading Resolve with this loose idea of a video I want to make, without any prior experience making videos thinking to myself, "how do I make this interesting?" then -BAM!- Aaron's beautiful face in my feed telling me just what i need to get started.

This was good, Arron you need your your own segment called 'Show and tell", where you keep giving us these super informative bite sized chunks in 5 mins or less and its these core learnings that will set you apart and have us coming back for more.

This was good work man, very nicely done. A difficult concept to illustrate summed up in a very friendly way.

Thanks Aaron! This is real nugget. I bought the book, it goes really deep into the art of screenwriting. Your video is much more fun and illustrative in only 4 minutes, and it gives instantly new perspectives on what is relevant and captivating for our own projects. Nicely done!!

Loved this video! Love seeing the evolution of Aaron on the show. I Love the edge that his personality has in the video; the "raw-esque" (this is totally not a word) nature of the video is very endearing. It really resonates. Is Aaron's dream about doing more coming true? Let's see. :)

Bro, you've fu****g crushed it. This was one of the most interesting videos I've ever seen on youtube in general.

I don't say this at all, I rarely comment, there are no videos incentive enough to make me do it.

Content is great, but the way you stitched it all and presented it is outstanding. A different game altogether, what you've done here.

Keep doing what you do and never stop growing just because of some people out there saying nice things about your work.
