Both the 335i and B5 S4 are going to be absolute money pits at that price point.

The 350z, RSX, and Miata are all NA platforms, which have very little tuning potential in stock form. You'll have to turbo or supercharge them to unlock the true tuning potential and that'll be at least another $5k on top of that price tag.

I'm a HUGE fan of the BMW 335i, but for $5k you'll be looking at doing a TON of maintenance, such as, turbo replacements, gaskets, fuel pump, etc. Expect to put in another $5K immediately

Best budget build so far for me was the e36 paid under 1k and put my old lsd in it with e46 arms and it handles great not fast rn but doesn’t take much to make a stock motor pretty fast and if you fully build the motor it can make up to 1000hp with the right stuff, stock motor can handle 500hp just fine can’t beat the price of scooping a e36

HR 350z and n54 335i are 12-15k in the US. Can not imagine paying 5 for one
