So glad you and Scarlet are ok. I totalled my car when I was 3 months pregnant many years ago. My Mom, myself and baby were all fine. Mentally I wasn’t. It was a write off. Glass everywhere and my Mom was pinned. However we are all here to talk about it. Now I have an almost 13 year old daughter. It’s NOT your fault. Thank goodness you had a truck and not your old car. Could’ve been worse. Items can be replaced, people can’t be. Hugs to you both 💜

Melinda I am so glad that you and Scarlette are OK, I really want to thank your Dad, Joe, and Max for coming and helping you, I hope the other guy ends up paying for any services that you may need, just like Joe said it can be fixed and whiplash can suck, on your part because you have been going to a chiropractor I would recommend you get in there and be seen and go as many times as his insurance will allow you to that is the only way you can get relief. But I am so grateful it wasn't worse. And I'm glad Joe was there to help you.

Being a mom and even though you are not my child it still hit hard and I was on edge until I seen the footage of you hugging your Dad and then it was like she is ok. Yes, replacing a car seat, a motorbike helmet, a pushbike helmet, a skateboard helmet, etc is the same as horseriding helmets... all have to be replaced in case their integrity has been compromised in an accident...

SO glad you’re okay!! And yet again proof how amazing your circle of support that surrounds you. You are allowed to cry and allowed to be sad. It’s okay to show Scarlett you have feelings and emotions. What matters is how you react to it all and how you cope with bad situations…that’s where she’ll learn too. Sending hugs!!

To the people saying "I'm glad you and Scarlett are okay" clearly don't understand the effects that a car accident can have on you mentally. Just because they're both fine physically does not mean they're fine mentally. I was t boned by a car when I was 12 and it hit me on my side and I watched it happen. I also smashed my head on the window frame. I had severe ptsd and didn't get in a car for a whole year after. Then almost exactly a year later my mom was t boned by a cop... so she was super jumpy and nervous in cars. I still have ptsd and super bad anxiety in cars. My anxiety is so bad I can't even drive myself.

So please everyone in the comments be mindful of the things you say. Trauma, and traumatic experiences should never be over looked.

That being said I'm glad you and Scarlett didn't end up with any physical injuries... hopefully no mental ones either. But if there are any mental issues due to the trauma therapy for something like this can be super helpful.

That's exactly what I was gonna comment on the Crazy Pieces video - no matter how good driver you are, others might not be like that. I think that's a very important thing to keep in mind when driving. I'm so glad you guys are safe. Hope you'll feel better soon, Melinda.

Thank GOD you and Scarlett are alright. The truck can be replaced. I get it especially with your baby in the back seat. When you get the vehicle fixed or a new one. Please put Scarlett in the middle of the back seat (safeiest). I can feel the heartbreak Joe is feeling. You all are blessed to have an uncle like him
