Robert's back with his take on some recent news and this time he's not alone!

Our new car presenter Jack joins Robert in his home studio to chat about a broad spectrum of recent stories from the world of electric vehicles and clean energy. Find out what they think about the new Tesla Model S Plaid and what they are guessing the Polestar 3 could look like (Spoiler: likely to be 'another' SUV). From the incredible 100,000 pre-order sales of the Ford F-150 Lightening, to a slow and steady record for the Renault Zoe, Robert and Jack will make sure you're up to date.

There's also a couple of interesting stories about flying ferries and flying taxis - could these be the future of transport? Oh and a good chat about vomit. Enjoy!

BTW, let's all wish Tesla a Happy Birthday! The company was incorporated 18 years ago today. I'm grateful to all the Tesla team for helping to build a better world, and inspiring other automakers to emulate their example.

What's really interesting about that ZoE hypermiling test was that it was a test of a new set of tyres. The first vehicle was a standard Zoe with stock tyres. The second was a standard Zoe with the new tyres. They were driven identically and the second vehicle got 10% more range than the first. Shows that tyre technology will also help with range as well as just bigger batteries.

Just wanted to say I loved the Bobby and Jack chat format. "Fully BoJacked"

Jack has slotted straight into the "Jonny" spot very comfortably, the guys a natural. Nice to see some banter back in the news slot making it less wearisome for Robert.

All I heard was "scrapheap challenge" and now I am wondering when Robert will be hosting a new series of that! I remember seeing it when I was pretty young and absolutely loved everything about it, it is definitely time for a revival of it! Please! :D

I love Robert all the more because he didn’t even know what car he was driving!

We definitely need a faster ferry crossing the Channel, to make up the time loss by the passport and custom check post-Brexit.

"Ekranoplan" makes a come back. That is so exciting.

Got turned off with your tweet criticizing Elon a year ago but this from you shows humility and it’s clear your ego isn’t too huge. You’ve earned a fan again.

Good thing about the boat plane thingy, if the engines break, you’re already in the life raft…

One padel drive, is probably the best drive feature an EV can have. Anything else is just being stuck to how ICE cars drive. It’s RIDICULOUSLY to consider an EV without this feature… right VW????

You two make a pretty good double act.

The Flying Ferry hits the spot for me & the fact that it will be electric is the icing on the cake.
Where a normal plane has to force air under the wing to make pressure for lift against the atmosphere, this concept only has to pressurise the small gap between the wings & a relatively solid waterline. Absolutely brilliant.
As for the Plaid Tesla, I reckon enough is enough, if Robert was physically uncomfortable/nauseous in a Tesla 6 years ago, then even that was way too powerful (for me).
Like what's the point, aren't we trying to make electric cars more affordable so that they are within reach of the masses & thereby rid the world of ICE vehicles?
Producing less powerful EVs means that fewer of the expensive batteries are needed, so the EV will weigh less making them more efficient.

Your boo boo update was great. I felt all smug until I realised my model Y came with hold mode as the default from the factory. Maybe the Model Y should be smug. I think it is.
