This delicious cowboy candy recipe was a first for us, but it came out perfect. Candied jalapenos are a great, crunchy sandwich topper or just a simple snack for spicy food lovers.

We used ginger, turmeric and allspice as the main aromatics for our cowboy candy, and it tastes like the perfect spicy autumn snack.

These should last up to 3 months in the refrigerator, making cowboy candy a great way to preserve jalapeno peppers! This is a way of canning jalapenos, but with a much sweeter recipe than is typical.

My mouth was water watching this. I can't even think about hot stuff without my mouth watering. So good.

HINT! Leave the stems on the peppers, using it to hold the jalapeno as you slice! Not only does that save your fingers from the peppers and knife, but you can slice closer to the stem and get an extra slice from each pepper

Nice, mostly an exploration of the magic of peppers and sugar. Hot Honey has brought this more into the limelight, a perfect mix regardless of the pepper or the sugar. Love it!

Last fall I made 8 cases (250ml bottles) of the recipe Chili Chump had in his video. A few weeks later I used the same recipe and made 4 more cases but used a mixture of yellow jalapeños, birds eye peppers, cayennes, Thai peppers and orange habaneros to kick up the heat. Amazing topping for burgers just under a slice of cheese. I also dehydrated a bottle of them and made a very interesting powder.

Hi Calvin, thanks for the amazing recipe! The balance between heat and sweetness is awesome. It's a good way to transform leftover jalapeños.
Also, pro-tip: I just made myself a Spicy Lemon Margarita cocktail that needed a jalapeños-infused simple syrup, which I didn't had on hands. I had normal simple syrup so I just added a few Candied Jalapeño rings in the drink and it turned out amazing! Cheers

I bet candied Jalapenos would taste amazing on top of a ham with pineapple slices.

always puree our hot peppers with sweet bell pepper and make it thick as it's a jelly. We use green bells with green Jalapeno, red cayenne with red bells, and Golden Cayenne with yellow bells. A popular gift at x-mas around cattle country. Great year, my first Rocoto's, and finally ripening.

Fresno peppers are great this way too! I mix jalapeño and Fresno just for some great color contrast.

Great flavor! I use half Nadapeno and half regular jalapeños. Not as hot. I also cut sugar way back and they still taste amazing!

Absolutely
I literally could not stop eating it with the cream cheese and crackers 🤤😋😋
Definitely on bbq pulled pork sandwich 😋👍
The only thing I would do different on the next batch is diced up the jalapeños

Thank you always

I use whole all spice berries.
In my personal recipe I developed from trying other recipies.
I'll have to try the ginger. It sounds good but it will be fresh and cut into coins.

I recently tore through a jar of this I found at my local store, but I'm gonna try this out. I'm growing some other peppers and maybe I'll give this a shot later this summer as well:) Also that honk made me spill my coffee lmao

I can say with 100% certainty, that you can replace the allspice with 1/8tsp each of Clove, Nutmeg, and Pumpkin pie seasoning.

It's a little different from the allspice flavor but it taste amazing with this recipe.
