DIY Bifold Doors Into French Doors

Our nursery closet had these hard-to-open, clunky folding doors, so we decided to use the material already there, plus a little more, and create French doors. This project only took a few hours and hardly cost anything. The only tools you need for this project would be a drill and a router, possibly a sander, and then some paint. I used to see this done a lot more in the midwest when I was growing up. I am in a new (used) home, and all of my doors have issues. It is a smaller home and some of the doors seem cumbersome. So I am thinking about doing this on my pantry door and my bedroom closet door. Thank y9ou!

Very nice I hated my folding doors and now you gave me a idea. Great Job👍

Turned out great. One suggestion to reduce the gap would be to place a piece of wood in the frame at the top and paint it the same color as the door or the trim. It would act as a header and blend right in. Also to camouflage the other unused doors you can lean the blanket ladder against the door it will go unnoticed.
