My grandmother was born 8/2/1923. Warren Harding was president when she was born and Calvin Coolidge was president by the time the sun went down. She always talked how there was 2 presidents the day she was born. It ignited my interest for history

Harding’s an example of why it’s healthy to tell people “no.”

I believe he's NOW in 2nd place for the most corrupt title.

Harding was living proof that doing nothing can get you far in life.

"this side of Watergate?" lol, oh, my friend, the era we're in now has far surpassed Watergate.

Judge a man by his friends. If he chose to surround himself with all crooks and put them in positions of power, don't overthink it, he's a crook.

For a real understanding of how effective Harding was read James Grant's "The Forgotton Depression of 1921", and listen to Tom Woods: Why You've Never Heard of the Great Depression of 1920.

Ok, I’m just gonna say what everyone is thinking. In no way does that rock resemble a teapot.

"He died when he was 57 years old" holy crap....he looked closer to late 70's.

I feel like Jerry should get his own Biographics episode.

What’s ironic is that Cal Coolidge turned out to be one of the best Presidents by restraining the government.

11:00 You ignored the elephant in the room for why people would be sick of Wilson and his agenda: The first world war. If I had been around back then, I think I would have read "return to normalcy" as "your friends won't be conscripted and killed by Germans anymore."

This part of history needs to be taught and remembered. It amazes me how many trust our government, thinking they would never do this or that and corruption is a conspiracy theory. We have definitely not learned that history repeats itself if forgotten.

I love these documentaries. I put them on to listen to relax and unwind from the day as I fall asleep, and end up learning so much. Mind you, it takes a few nights to get through them from all the rewinding to the parts I missed after I’d fallen asleep. lol

I also like that they’re done by a person from another country who doesn’t have any partisan bias, and observes historically from a third person perspective.

"Bland cliches is exactly what America wanted to hear"

I guess some things never change

I don’t believe Harding’s or Grant’s administrations can hold a candle to what’s going on now!

He’s the living version of that “when you lie on your resume but get the job anyway” meme.

The best thing about learning about Warren G Harding is the realization that where the United States is now, is a place we've been before. We will get through it again.
