Logistic Growth Model

Hi everyone! This video gives a brief overview of the Logistic Growth Model, and how to solve for the steady states. This is actually a remake of an older video I made:

I tried to make it with a little better animation this time.

I used the Manim Python library to make the animation. Credit to the Grant Sanderson and the Manim Community for making this awesome library! If you want to try it out for yourself, here is their website:

Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks Mike, Great video. X*=k is a stable steady state. The population will reach this steady state. Take the derivative and plug the two values x*=0 and X*=K and study its stability.

It's the SI epidemic model. Epidemics do logistic growth (SIR model 1927) not exponential growth (as per Farr's Law 1840). I think the SI model is what they use for the zombie apocalypse articles.

Thanks for these videos, they are really helpful. I'll try to answer, I think you would get a decaying population (negative exponential), until it reaches the value K. Biologically it means that the enviroment cannot sustain such a large population.
