In this video, I discuss vinyl reissues that sound incredible. I also discuss a vinyl grail disappointment. I show records from artists/bands such as George Harrison, Ted Nugent, Miles Davis, Bobbie Gentry, Santana, INXS, Wes Montgomery, Gabor Szabo, Neil Young, Queensryche, and Velvett Fogg.

I love that Bobbie Gentry album. Also there is a cd boxset of all of her music well worth searching out, not to mention getting originals of her work. She was so authentic and left on her own terms. Amen

Yeah, in the great eighties i worked alongside as a security guard in a big rock discotheque. Every evening and night Ted Nugent's Stranglehold was played and i had never heard it before. Wow, i thought holy moly what's that. It really blew me away and it sounded fantastic. The guitar work and the riffing was awesome and i loved it immediatly. It was pure fun to work in the discotheque two times a week, because i listened to all classic excellent rock stuff. When i didn't know something i just asked the dj. So i expended my knowledge of music even though i owned a lot of records. For me it was a great time. I made money for work and listened to great music for free. Now i'm 61years old and remember it very fondly. The good times never come back and i'm a little wistful. But i must say that i had much luck in my whole life and i'm very humble and grateful for that. Take care.

I saw Ted Nugent in concert with Aerosmith and Foghat. Even though I wasn’t a Rock music fan I saw probably every major Rock band in the 1970’s. From The Who, Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin. I even saw Kiss. I’m on the cover of the Kiss Alive Album. It was recorded in Detroit in I think 1977. I was second row.

All Things is and always will be my favorite Beatles solo album. I'm lucky enough to have a really clean original, but those colored pressings look nice.

On your 50th Anniversary All Thing Must Pass commentary, it was a fair one. You also have to remember, on songs like "Wah-Wah", sometimes the tape tracks they had to work with was muddy to begin with. Individual instrumental tracks were mixed down together on one track and done a few times to make more room for other instruments and echoes. They did not have 64 tracks to work with then. Some songs came out better than on the original and some did not on this issue. I think of it as a nice alternative listen to the original and the 2014 remastered vinyl version which used the original analog masters. The outtakes and demos from these sessions are the main reasons for me to buy the expanded set, which I also bought along with the colored vinyl set. The demos and session outtakes are outstanding! I did not know about the Abraxas 50th Anniversary release, it's the next LP I'll be buying! Great content Melinda... Thanks!

My pet peeve is. All these big record companies hopping on the vinyl bandwagon. And charged big bucks for records. I never stopped buy vinyl. Even in 1990’s and the 2000’s.

Hello Melinda,
Always nice to see a music angel show what she got. Wow, lovely collection. Still haven't got the George Harrison All Things Must Pass reissue. Love that John Lennon frame and
love those posters you got.
God bless and enjoy all your goodies,
Tino

This is a great time for collecting records that have been long out of print. I picked up the deluxe version of “All Things Must Pass” not so much for the actual record, but for the outtakes and session tracks. It always gives me a better and sometimes a different view of a song. As for the Miles record store day LP. Awesome. Going to listen to Bill Evans “Behind The Dykes” RSD release later this week. I am glad I found your channel on YouTube. Happy listening.

I just recently covered that AP Nugent release as well. Agreed on Stranglehold but there's a song called "You Make Me Feel Right At Home" on that album that sounds absolutely STUNNING on that pressing.

Great video Melinda. I really like the new mix for All Things Must Pass myself. I think it sounds better to my ears. Love that Queensryche one as well. It's much better than my OG copy. Rock on!

I need to buy that Ted Nugent 45RPM. Had no idea it was out. My copy is pretty beat up since I have had it since the 70's. Queensryche looks cool as well as I have the one vinyl original press. So sorry about Velvett Fogg vinyl. I hope you find another one. Another great episode, Melinda. Take Care.

Great video Melinda- so many videos up at moment about ATMP and good to see your honest opinion about it. The Bobbie Gentry was featured on another channel yesterday and he was raving about it. I would certainly snap up the Miles Davis album if i find it. Keep up the intetesting content. Greetings from a sunny UK.
