In case anybody was wondering that huge yellow box behind the cabin is a very heavy counter weight, when the crane lifts an object the counter balance rolls along the I bar to counter balance the object, he has gauges in his cab telling him this information, the crane can only lift the same weight as the counter balance fully extended to the end of the I bar, this also can include the angle of the lifting extension, a malfunctioning counter balance can lead to tragedy,
