Holy shit, a bluray review where somebody actually reviews the bluray and not just the packaging! Definitely subscribed

One of my favourite movies of all time. That era of movies from 87-91 has some of the greatest.

This was my favorite movie for decades…. ‘You’re going the wrong way!’
‘How do they know where we are going?’

I pre-ordered it on Amazon having never owned it on DVD or Blu-ray and I’m glad I did! I think I can definitely live with the transfer I just wanted to finally include this in my collection and for that price? Couldn’t pass it up. I also got it for the hour long never before seen special features. It’s the quintessential Thanksgiving film.

It really sucks that absolute classics like this and T2 are treated so poorly.

Thanks for saving us all some money! I'll probably put that money towards a 50% off Criterion Collection title instead! 🙂

You get over an hour of deleted scenes every fan has been waiting years to see, that's worth it alone.

It’s a definite improvement over the previous Blu-ray that was released. I saw this theatrically recently and I saw no vast improvement theatrically, but it’s not that bad. Pick it for the deleted scenes.

Guys, just to be a little voice of reason: even if the 4K-transfer downright sucks (which is a shame), the price of 22 bucks is more than fair for the bonusdisc alone, containing OVER AN HOUR of unique, uncovered deleted scenes. 'HATS OFF ENTERTAINMENT' made an amazing documentary on the 'lost version' of the movie, and Paramount/John Hughes' estate did some research and found the original scenes on vhs-tapes made from raw footage and dailies. That's highly uncommon and I do applaud that effort.

My copy just arrived today and has all previous extras and the deleted/extended scenes are a nice bonus. In regards to the transfer it's probably the best the movie is ever going to look.

A true Thanksgiving classic. A shame the 4K treatment wasn’t up to par.

The deleted scenes disc provides some enhanced storyline pieces that give us a more complete picture of Steve Martins building frustration on the plane and why they got robbed…

Every time I watch a bluray or 4k that looks bad but has some scenes that look good I believe it's because there is more than one person working on the transfer. One guy is an artist, and the other guy wants to hurry up and go home.

"It Happened on Fifth Avenue" is a great forgotten Christmas classic.

Found it at my Local Walmart a week early!! I really only bought it again for the new deleted and extended scenes

Another good thanksgiving film to watch is The Ice Storm. One of Ang Lee’s best movies.

This is so disheartening! I love this movie and was really looking forward to seeing a definitive version of it on 4K 😢

LL Bean…. I once visited the store nearly 30 years ago (as I was holiday in the area from the UK). I still have a leather jacket that looks as good as it did then.
I didn’t wake up with my hand between two soft pillows either!
